Members of Nurses Training College, (NTC) group C26 on Monday, March 25, 2019, presented an amount of 20,000 GHC towards the re-roofing of the demonstration room, also known as skills laboratory at the Korle Bu Nurses Training College, NTC.

The roof of the college has been leaking for a while now after new equipment was brought in there.
Also the demonstration room which is a vital pivot for training the nurses has been left to rot until new equipment was donated recently.

That is where trainee nurses practice on dummies before going to the wards to work with human beings under the supervision of registered nurses.

Amanda Bruce Catherine presented the items on behalf of the group.
Receiving the amount, the Principal, of the College, Mrs. Theresa Segbefia expressed her appreciation saying this is the first roofing since the structure was built some 73 years ago.

According to Mrs. Segbefia, a trainee nurse must be proficiently certified on the dummies and other training equipment before they can go the wards or the hospital , clinics etc to practice under a licensed nurse before graduation.

Adding that they use the room to train both regular registered nurse for their 3 year diploma course and the midwifery students.
