Five African Head of State express concerns over DR Congo political crises

African heads of state from Angola, Congo, South Africa, Uganda and Zambia after a summit in Congo’s capital Brazzaville have voiced strong concerns over acts of violence during the presidential campaign of DR Congo, where voting has been postponed in two restive regions.

A statement issued at the end of the summit said clashes in some locations are enough “to compromise voter’s peace of mind.

Eight nations in southern and central Africa mulled the situation in DRC, a country that has been a regional battleground twice in the last quarter-century.

The summit discussed on the electoral process in the DRC and called for calm.
