Police in Kenya seize 20 million fake US dollar notes

Kenya police have seized twenty million fake US dollars cash from a branch of Barclays Bank in the capital, Nairobi.
Six people have been arrested after the incident.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations said the fake notes in hundred dollar denominations, were recovered from the bank’s safe room.
It also posted a picture of a safe box with cash.
The DCI added that among the six arrested were the alleged owner of the box, a “fake investor” and two bank officials.
In a statement, Barclays Bank said a customer who held a personal safe deposit box at its Queensway branch had been intercepted by police, adding that the bank is cooperating with investigations.
The customer is said to have concealed fake currency in his personal safe deposit box against bank rules and regulations.
