The Daily Graphic welcomes the signing of performance contract agreements between the State Interests and Governance Authority, SIGA and some state entities. The initiative will see SIGA vigorously monitor these entities to ensure compliance and deliver on their mandate to contribute significantly to the country’s development. The Graphic, however, draws  SIGA’s attention to the challenges faced by some state entities and urges the Authority to go to their aid. The paper urges persons put in charge of these state agencies to be selfless and run them efficiently to generate the needed revenue for the state to accelerate its developmental agenda.
The Ghanaian Times thinks the Ghana Football Association did not treat GBC fairly, following the arguments between GBC and StarTimes as well as discussions by members of the public. It says what the GFA did is a slap in the face of most Ghanaians who supported the promotion of local institutions and products. It is in this vein that the paper calls on GFA to rethink its position because the benefits that Ghanaians would derive from GBC being awarded the right far outweighs that of StarTimes. It says it is known that GBC and StarTimes have collaborated in the past to telecast the Premier League matches and stand in a good position to do so on their own. The Times urges GFA to look at all the advantages that would accrue to the country if GBC was awarded the broadcast right.
