The Daily Graphic welcomes the decision by government to reconstruct the Kejetia Lorry Terminal into a modern market edifice as the completed project cannot remain shut while traders continue to mark time in uncertainty. It commends the Metropolitan Chief Executive for Kumasi, Assibey Antwi and his team for ensuring that all the thorny issues concerning the allocation were ironed out.

The paper says it is refreshing that all the one thousand five hundred traders who are benefiting from the first phase of the allocation are happy with the transparency of the process. The Graphic says once the facility is ready to be opened to the public, it is incumbent on the managers to ensure that it is put to good use.

The Ghanaian Times urges government to corporate effectively with the private sector towards the implementation of programmes to eliminate hunger, poverty, protect the environment and improve people standard of living.

The paper lauds Gold Fields Ghana Limited for rehabilitating the damaged Tarkwa road. It appeals to other companies in the extractive industry to complement government bid to provide with their developmental needs.
