The Daily Graphic decries the lack of maintenance culture for public facilities by Ghanaians. The paper says the issue cannot be entirely blamed on the authorities as citizens also contribute to the damage of public structures. The Graphic bemoans the existence of faded street markings which it says is a danger to road users. It says the markings are essential as they provide visual guidance to road users. The Graphic calls on the relevant authorities to proactively work to ensure the roads do not deteriorate to levels that will endanger the lives of users. It also calls on technical experts to identify appropriate technologies to address the problem.

The Ghanaian Times commends the Ministry of Food and Agriculture for its decision to increase farm mechanization centres in the country this year to boost productivity. The Paper hopes the mechanizations will be implemented and sustained for increased food production as well as savings on foreign exchange. The Times maintains that aside ensuring food security and promoting exports, the agricultural sector remains a source of employment for most citizens hence, the move by government to improve agricultural production is highly recommendable.
