Daily Graphic applauds Government on its giant step towards having a beneficial Ownership Register saying it is a must for transparency. It is worried that the issue of business transactions in many countries has been a major challenge for some time now hence the initiative by the extractive industries transparency initiative, EITI. The Paper is happy that such a register will lift the veil off public officials who hide behind cronies to amass wealth. The Graphic however urges all companies to take this exercise seriously since Ghana risks being blacklisted by the European union and other donor agencies which would want to be sure that the register is place for business transactions.

Ghanaian Times is worried about the Ghana Health Service’s survey on wearing of face masks calling it a poor pass mark which must be improved upon. In the said survey, 82 percent of people interviewed possessed the face masks and had the intention of wearing them in some areas in Accra. However out of the survey 44 percent of people sampled survey use the face masks correctly. The Paper says Ghanaians seem to be lowering their guard, neglecting to observe the basic health and safety protocols, particularly social distancing which is a fertile ground for the spread of the disease.
