The Daily Graphic is happy that teachers and their professional associations agreed to the licensing of teachers, though they had raised concerns over what they termed rush in instituting the licensing regime without giving members time to adequately prepare for the examination. The paper congratulates those who passed the examination and wished those who could not make it the best of luck saying although it does not have full details of the results, the failure rate is an indication that the results are not outside the standard distribution table.

The Ghanaian Times believes there has not been any or enough consultation between government and other teaching unions on the Ghana Partnership Schools project scheduled to take off this September. The paper says the ministry and teacher unions ought to ensure mutually beneficial and overall interest in the sector is served rather than using the media space to battle out issues when dialogue has proven the better option. It therefore calls on the two stakeholders to meet and resolve their differences and find a better way to improve the standards of education
