Both the Daily Graphic and Ghanaian Times discuss the Peace Pact signed by the two major political parties in the country. The Graphic says it is refreshing that the two front-runners in the upcoming elections, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) have committed fully to maintaining peace before, during and beyond the election. It says undoubtedly, Ghana’s democratic credentials which permeates every nook and cranny of the globe will be put to test on Monday. The Graphic prevails on all political actors, the electorate and well-meaning Ghanaians to allow the word PEACE to resonate in their minds so they do not engage in acts that will jeopardise the harmony that currently exists.
