THE DAILY GRAPHIC describes as welcome news the shutting down of the Ghana Manganese Company  at Tarkwa in the Weatern Region. The company is said to have flouted the rules of engagement and misappropriated funds. The paper says companies continue to engage in serious unpatriotic acts that result in revenue loss to the state. The paper thinks if such mining companies who disregard the rules are not punished, prosterity will judge the present generation.

THE GHANAIAN TIMES frowns on religious leaders who force their  beliefs on others. To the paper, it is not biblical for a religious leader to publicly preach hatred and exhibit bigotry and revulsion. The Times therefore believes that  such religious leaders must be called to order and be made to stop using religion and the pulpit as haven to denigrate people.
