When it comes to male artistes in Ghana with great voices, Dancehall act, Kelvyn Boy’s name will be in that list.
He is signed on to the Burniton Music Group, owned by fellow Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy. There have been cases where one big artiste managing another has not ended well but for Kelvyn Boy, being under the Hero artiste is fine.

“Stonebwoy is a great person, he has a great personality and I am very lucky to be on his record label, Burniton Music Group.
“In this life of ours, you need to have someone you look up to, someone you learn from and for me it is Stonebwoy. I am blessed being on his label,” he told Showbiz in an interview recently.
Commenting on assertions that he may not shine as he needs to under Stonebwoy, especially because they do the same genre of music, Kelvyn Boy said that won’t be the case.
“That is never true, anyone who listens to our songs carefully will know that we are different people and our style is different. I can equally say that our audience is also different, so there is no way such can happen.
“Let us look at this, I wouldn’t be here in an interview with you if Stone did not give me the chance to grace some of his stages or work with him.
“You are here because you heard of me, know me, know my music. I believe he saw something in me and needs to push it and that is what we are working on currently,” he said.

Talking about his music journey Kelvyn Boy said it has not been easy but it has been worth it.

“I have had my challenging times but I am glad I am not where I used to be. There are lots of things that as an artiste you need to learn and one of them is humility.
“I thank my fans for the love so far, it has been great and I want them to know that there are greater things coming and they should watch out.”
Born Kelvin Brown, Kelvyn Boy is a product of Osei Tutu Senior High School in the Ashanti Region. He nurtured his talent from primary school and as a member of his church’s choir and today he is the creator of well-received songs like Pray, Toffee and Na You.
