Ghanaian Blogger, Philanthropist and Digital Marketer, Augustus Koranteng popularly known as Kobby Kyei, has opened up about the recent “Detty December” events that took place only in the capital of Ghana, Accra adding that the events did not include children in the celebrations as well.

He made this assertion earlier today on GTV’s Prime Time Show ‘GTV Breakfast Show‘ while speaking with host Valerie Danso.

According to Kobby Kyei, governments have come and gone with the promise of building more theaters and arenas to attract more foreign tourists into the creative space but nothing has been done about it yet.

He continued by saying “once we push this agenda, we invite more tourists into Ghana and that will put more pressure on these arenas and theaters hence the need to create more”.

He again touched on events that were centered for adults only, leaving the children behind which made the youth feed on what the adults gave them.

He said “apart from Efua Sutherland Park which is in a poor state, Ghana does not have enough recreational facilities aside private owned facilities for children and every nation that does not pay attention to children and their welfare doesn’t have a future”.

Kobby Kyei touched on events that were all centered in Accra, leaving the other regions behind.

He advised Event Managers to ensure that the right persons are recruited to manage and supervise the events.
