Mr James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister, has affirmed that Ho and the entire Volta Region are fully prepared to host the upcoming “Torcher Experience” programme organised by Ghanaian music star Stonebwoy.
The Minister made this known when he received a delegation from Stonebwoy’s team, in collaboration with the Office of the Volta Regional Member of the Council of State, ahead of the March 5 event scheduled to take place at the Youth Resource Centre.
Mr Gunu described the engagement as fruitful, noting that discussions centered on ensuring a successful and impactful programme for the youth and people of the Volta Region.
“Stonebwoy is not just a music icon; he is a great asset to the Volta Region and a source of pride to us. We warmly welcome this collaboration and are fully committed to its success,” he stated.
He disclosed that preparations are already underway to ensure a smooth event.
A team has been dispatched to clean and prepare the venue, while streetlights from the Powerhouse area to the Stadium are being repaired to enhance visibility and security.
The Minister and the delegation also toured the Youth Resource Centre to assess the facility and identify additional improvements required ahead of the programme.
The “Torcher Experience,” organised by Stonebwoy, forms part of activities to mark the artiste’s birthday and to celebrate Ghana’s Independence Anniversary and is expected to attract large numbers of youth and music enthusiasts from across the region.
