If I were a president for 24 hours, I will make sure Ghanaians patronise ‘Made in Ghana’ products– Celestine Donkor

Multiple award-winning and talented Gospel Act, Celestine Donkor, has shared her first port of call if she is to become the President of Ghana, even for a day, as ensuring that Ghanaians patronise all services and products made and rendered here in the country.

She mentioned this when Valerie asked her on GTV’s Breakfast Show what she would do if given the chance to be President of Ghana for 24 hours. The talented songstress stressed that there is a need for Ghanaians to patronise and consume services and products made and rendered by Ghanaians. This, she explained, is one policy that, when implemented, will not only help the economy but will instill a sense of love and patriotism in the hearts and minds of the Ghanaian people.

According to her, the current and consistent decline in student examination results for Ghanaian languages is so severe when compared to the English language. Being someone who has over the past decade projected the Ewe language in her music, which has gone global, I share the view that the local languages need to be advocated and campaigned for massively.

She used the opportunity to invite all and sundry to join her to celebrate ten years of her ‘Celestial Praise’ event, an annual event she organises alongside other great Ghanaian and international gospel acts.

This year’s edition will take place on March 6, 2023, at the Victory Bible Church International auditorium at Awoshie, Accra.
