US-based Ghanaian gospel singer Kwabena Boateng has hinted that his songs are a source of blessing for people who listen to them.

“Like some people maybe were going through depression in their lives, but when they heard my songs, it inspired them, others going through certain addictions in their lives and God used my music to deliver them from those kind of addictions and all of that.”

He made these comments when he appeared on GTV’s Breakfast Show on April 18, 2024. He explained that through his songs, people have been inspired.

He was born on May 12, 1992, and is the eldest of four siblings. Kwabena Boateng hails from Adansi-Akokeri in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He started his music journey back in High School at Presec – Legon but turned professional in 2015 and has an album to his credit.

“I’ll follow you is a song that came from a deep place because sometimes, when we go through difficult times, do we still follow God?“

“This was a point in my life, where I went through hardship, and during that time, I just got the song, and it says that no matter what you do, I’ll just follow you, God. That was my theme for the year, and it actually blessed me a lot. This was the inspiration behind “I’ll follow you,“ he further added when asked what inspired him to come up with that song.

In addition, he emphasised that his song ‘Conquer’ with Celestine Donkor is to encourage Christians to be confident in everything they do. “Though we Christians allow situations to shake us small and give up, with Jesus Christ on our side, we can conquer every obstacle that comes our way.”

In conclusion, he hinted at an EP coming soon and advised upcoming budding artistes not to just focus on the talent side of music but to also understand the business side of music.
