Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly been placed in solitary confinement following an alleged altercation with another inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix, in New Jersey, according to TMZ.

Multiple sources told TMZ that the incident began after another inmate allegedly insulted the music mogul, prompting a confrontation that escalated into a physical fight.

The report claimed both men exchanged punches before prison staff intervened and stopped the altercation.

Sources say Combs “held his own” during the fight and was subsequently placed in solitary confinement following the incident.

Responding to an enquiry from Complex, a Federal Bureau of Prisons spokesperson said, “The Federal Bureau of Prisons does not comment on the conditions of confinement, disciplinary matters, or other information regarding individual inmates due to privacy, safety, and security concerns.”

Combs is currently serving a 50-month federal prison sentence after being convicted in 2025 on two counts of transportation for the purposes of prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges during the same trial.

Combs had already spent 12 months in custody before sentencing and is currently expected to be released in February 2028, followed by five years of supervised release.

The reported prison incident comes weeks after footage emerged showing the 56-year-old walking inside the low-security correctional facility.

More recently, he also completed the reported sale of his waterfront Star Island estate in Miami for 55 million US dollars in an off-market transaction, representing a significant increase on the 35 million US dollars he paid for the property in 2021.
