Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, known in private life as Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., has been detained by the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) in connection with an inquiry into his tax obligations on the purchase of a yellow Lamborghini.

According to a statement issued by his management, the musician voluntarily appeared at the EOCO offices on Wednesday afternoon accompanied by his lawyer, Cephas Biyuo, to assist with investigations.

Management assured fans and the general public that Shatta Wale’s legal team is actively engaging with the authorities to resolve the matter and secure his release at the earliest opportunity.

“We urge the SM Family and all well-wishers to remain calm and avoid any speculation. We have the utmost confidence in the judicial process,” the statement read.

His management and legal representatives are expected to return to the EOCO offices on Thursday morning to continue discussions.
