Popular Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, has revealed plans to stage Shatta Fest in London this year despite facing challenges with investors.
According to him, he has been personally funding many of his projects after some investors became frustrated by what he described as misleading information.
“Investors have been repeat victims of lies, so I’ve had to do my own thing,” he said.
Speaking on Asempa FM, the artiste said Shatta Fest UK is scheduled to take place on 2 August 2026, although the venue has yet to be announced.
His announcement comes after fellow Ghanaian musician Sarkodie sold out the Royal Albert Hall and announced plans to hold a concert at The O2 Arena in 2027.
However, the ‘Dancehall King’ hitmaker said the O2 Arena would be too small for him to fill.
He also noted that Shatta Fest UK will partner with Akwaaba UK, the group behind the popular Party in the Park UK event.
