We all will remember Aretha- Teddy Osei

Tributes continue to pour in from all corners of the world for departed soul singer Aretha Franklin who died yesterday at the age of 76.

80 year old Ghanaian saxophonist Teddy Osei said he had listened to her music since he was young and Aretha had been his “top singer for a very long time”.

Teddy Osei told the BBC it’s a shame Aretha is gone, adding that the world will remember her for her powerful voice.

Teddy, who led the great Osibisa band, said he will say a big prayer for Aretha because she is lovely.”

South African music star Yvonne Chaka Chaka said Aretha Franklin was an inspiration for “every black child, saying she loved her music greatly and will always remember her because she was just out of this world and was everybody’s aunt.

Former US President Barack Obama said she is the true definition of the American woman.

Aretha Franklin is known for hits like ”Respect” and ”Think”.
