Confiscate Assets Of Directors And Board Members Of Collapsed Banks – Economist

A lecturer at the University of Cape Coast Business School, Prof. John Gatsi, has suggested to government to evaluate the assets of the Directors and Boards of the seven collapsed banks and use their assets to defray the cost they have left behind.

Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, Prof. Gatsi said though he is not against prosecution of those implicated in the Bank saga, confiscating their assets would deter others from running down institutions.

Prof. Gatsi, said the 60-day window given to the staff of the consolidated Bank limited is not right.

He called on stakeholders in the sector to follow international laid down guidelines in such crisis.
