Court summons Attorney General over JB case delay

A Magistrate Court in Accra has ordered the Attorney General to appear before it to explain the delay in the commencement of the committal process for the suspects accused of killing the late Abuakwa North MP J.B. Danquah-Adu.

The Magistrate, Aret Nsomoah, gave the order after the representative of the AG handling the matter failed to appear in court for the third consecutive time to begin process of moving the case to the High Court for a full trial to begin.

The murder case involving two suspects, Daniel Asiedu and Vincent Bosso, has recorded a number of setbacks since it began in September 2016.

The two suspects are facing charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

The late J.B. Danquah-Adu was murdered at his Shiashie residence on 9 February 2016.
