PNC National Chairman, Benard Mornah says the Akufo- Addo government has not fulfilled 70 percent of the promises it made to Ghanaians two years into office.

Accessing the government’s performance over the two year period, Mr. Mornah said the government is rather attempting to look for partnerships with already existing private companies in order to ride on their shoulders to claim credit for establishing factories such as the IDIF.

On a scale of ten, the PNC said it will score the government four because it has not achieved much.

On Security, an Expert, Adib Saani pinpointed some loopholes in the sector. He mentioned vigilantism and high robbery cases as some setbacks of the government.

He was surprised that despite the appointment of a National Security Minister, services such as the Police still grapple with evidence collection.

Mr. Saani suggested the formulation of a National Security policy document to streamline the sector.

Governance Expert Prof Osei Asiamah, however, is of the opinion that the critics of the Akufo-Addo’s government should look at how things will go this year.

This is because this year would determine whether or not the government is indeed capable of meeting all its obligations in terms of the promises it made to the people.

The Head of Business School, University of Cape Coast, Professor John Gatsi who touched on the economy said although there has been some improvement in major economic indicates such as inflation and GDP, this has not impacted positively on the lives of Ghanaians.

He said happenings in the financial sector have also affected many.

He was however optimistic that 2019 will be better.
