Menzgold CEO NAM 1 has absconded – Gabby reveals

A leading member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has alleged that the Chief Executive Officer of embattled gold dealership firm Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah has jumped bail and absconded from the country.
Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko in a post on Facebook said he has gathered that Nana Appiah Mensah popularly referred to as NAM1 “breached his bail conditions and absconded”.

According to the legal practitioner, individuals who allegedly dupe people with impunity should not be allowed to evade justice so easily.

However, Mr Otchere-Darko in his post did not provide details about when and which security agency arrested and released Nana Appiah Mensah on bail.
Gabby’s comments, come a day after some aggrieved customers of Menzgold Ghana Limited defied Police orders to stage a demonstration in the Ashanti Region capital, Kumasi.
The demonstration held to press home their demands for Menzgold to pay up their investments resulted in the arrest of some customers.
The seven who were part of a group calling itself ‘Aggrieved Customers of Menzgold’ and are due to appear before the Asokore Mampong District Court in the Ashanti Region.
