The Minority in Parliament has appealed to the President, to as a matter of urgency ensure adequate security in society, as the recent murders indicate that contract killing is on the ascendency.

At a news conference in Accra, the Ranking member on the Defence and Interior Committee, James Agalga said the security agencies have done little in recent months to stem the tide of these killings and so the President must take keen interest in safeguarding the wellbeing of Ghanaians.

Meanwhile, the Minority in Parliament say it will make sure the MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, is once again dragged to the Privileges Committee of Parliament for being complicit in the murder of the late journalist, Ahmed Hussein Suale.

At a news conference, they said per section 20 of the Criminal Offences Act 1960, utterances of their colleague on the majority side prior to the airing of the Anas Aremeyaw Anas last investigative piece, amount to aiding and abetting in the murder of the journalist.
