President Akufo-Addo says consultations on the new public university bill has been completed and will be laid before parliament this year (2019).

The bill, if passed into law, will make the administration of public universities less cumbersome and efficient.

Speaking in Accra at the congregation of the University of Professional Studies, UPSA, President Akufo-Addo said the new public university bill would not undermine the academic freedom of public universities as being speculated.

The theme for the graduation ceremony was, “Celebrating Professional and Scholarly Excellence for Accelerated Nation Building”.
