The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will Wednesday afternoon visit the Kotoka International Airport, the Greater Accra Regional and the Tema General Hospitals to inspect work done so far in preparation for any possible outbreak of the deadly Covid-19 in Ghana.

It follows assurances from health officials that Ghana is prepared for any suspected or confirmed case of the virus.

The President will interact with health officials and others assigned to fight an outbreak and spread of the virus in case it is reported in Ghana.

Following the global outbreak, the Ministry of Health designated the Greater Accra Regional and Tema General Hospitals as centres to manage possible cases in the country.

The Ministry has also enhanced the process by activating its emergency plan for all international arrivals at Terminal -3 of the Kotoka International Airport.

Meanwhile, Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman Manu has also briefed Parliament Wednesday for the second time within a month on the country’s preparedness to deal with any coronavirus outbreak.
