The Public Procurement Authority (PPA) has established an investigation unit to conduct audit into procurement processes.

This comes after the Authority uncovered a lot of anomalies with regard to procurement processes.

The anomalies include, complimentary biding, customer and market allocation and tender suppression.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Authority, Agyenim Agyei, at the Meet-the-Press Series in Accra said the Authority has submitted the proposal to the Attorney General who will give advice on the next step.

The Authority has been able to save the country 1.9 billion cedis in the last 21 months.
This is as a result of blocking loopholes associated with procurement processes.
