The Minister of State for Agriculture at the Presidency, Dr. Nurah Gyeile has announced an 8.42% increment in the Producer Price of Cocoa.
According to him this means a bag of cocoa, which used to be GHC475.00 will now be bought at GHC515.00.
He was speaking at a grand durbar to climax this year’s Cocoa Day at the Jubilee Park in Sunyani in the Bono Region.
There were mixed reactions to the new producer price by Farmers. Whilst some were okay with it others thought it was not the best.
