Workers of the Tamale Teaching Hospital who went on strike are back to work. Public Relations Officer of the Hospital, Dr. Osei Mensah told host Ibrahim Kwarteng on GBC’s News and Current Affairs Programme, ‘Behind the News’ that a lot of factors culminated into the decision by the workers to call off the strike.

He mentioned an apology letter from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the erection of a police post at the premises of the Hospital and appeal from the Chief Executive to the workers as some of the reasons which convinced the workers.

Dr. Mensah added that the Hospital is currently operating in full capacity.
