Accra’s only Ramsar site at Sakumono is seriously under threat as the place has been turned into a refuse dump. The site has also been encroached upon by people from all walks of life. Last Saturday, the Greater Accra Regional Minister as part of World Environment Day visited the site and warned those encroaching to stay off or face the law.
