The Black Stars will be looking to secure another vital three points when they face Chad in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers today at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Deby Itno in N’Djamena, 1 pm local time.

Ghana currently sit at the top of Group I with an impressive 15 points from six matches, highlighting their strong position in the qualification round.

Under the leadership of head coach Otto Addo, Ghana have demonstrated a blend of resilience and skill, winning five games and losing only once so far. Their most recent success came in an emphatic 3-0 victory over Madagascar, with Thomas Partey scoring twice alongside a strike from Mohammed Kudus, further solidifying Ghana’s credentials as group leaders.

Chad, however, find themselves at the bottom of the table and come into the encounter under new management. After a difficult run that included a heavy 5-0 defeat against Ghana in the reverse fixture in Accra, the Sao are renewed with fresh players and hopeful for a better performance on home soil.

Backed by a passionate N’Djamena crowd, they aim to restore pride and challenge the Black Stars.

Coach Addo’s squad boasts considerable firepower with key players like Partey, Kudus, Jordan Ayew, Inaki Williams, and Antoine Semenyo expected to lead the attack. Ghana also rely on a solid defensive foundation, with Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare likely to continue his strong form between the posts.

With World Cup qualification almost within reach, Ghana cannot afford any lapses in concentration. A victory in N’Djamena would tighten their hold on top spot and bring them one step closer to a historic return to football’s biggest stage in 2026.
