The Ghana Police Service says it has arrested three murder suspects in the Upper West region.
The police said the trio was arrested on August 30, 2022, from their hideouts at Kuntaali village, for allegedly murdering a 29-year-old herdsman, Demo Jeti.
The suspects have been identified as John Dakurah, Numbuzie Chawinaa, and Tankpare Sylvester.
“Preliminary investigation indicates that the deceased took his cattle to the Kuntaali bush for grazing in the morning of 1st July 2022, but only the cattle returned home later that day without him.”
“The lifeless body of the deceased was later found lying in between Chari and Kuntaali villages. The body was deposited at the Regional hospital, Wa for autopsy and later handed over to the deceased’s family for burial,” the police said in a statement.
The statement added that the suspects will be put before the court to face justice.
