Cashew and Cocoa farmers in the Jaman South district of Bono Ahafo are disappointed in the Akufo Addo led administration over its decision not to increase the Cocoa Producer Price.
A renowned Cocoa and Cashew farmer in the Jaman South district, Ben Asuman, who revealed this to Radio BAR, said the decision amounts to unfair treatment of cocoa farmers.
Mr. Asuman said he is planning to lead cocoa farmers to engage government on Cocoa Producer Prices.
Mr. Asuman believes the current administration is short changing farmers as even payment of bonuses have ceased.
The Producer Price of Cocoa has remained the same since 2016. The farmers are therefore appealing to government to immediately address their concerns
