The Human Rights Court division, of the Accra High Court, has set April 26, 2021, to give its ruling in a suit filed by the Media Foundation for West Africa, regarding the closure of some radio stations in the country.

The MFWA, in November 2020, instituted the action against the National Communications Authority, NCA, for the closure of some 57 radio stations including, Radio XYZ and Radio Gold.

The trial judge, Justice Gifty Adjei Addo set the date for ruling on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, after NCA lawyers told the court, they had filed their responses to the MFWA suit.

Justice Adjei Addo, then said if that was the case, there was no need to hear oral arguments.

She asked both sides to submit their written arguments within 21 days for the court’s ruling.

The case has been adjourned to April 26, 2021.
