Ghana and Saudi Arabia are set to deepen their diplomatic and economic relations following what has been described as an “extremely positive and uplifting” meeting between Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Ghana, H.E. Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Dhakel.

The meeting, held in Accra, focused on strengthening ties and advancing mutual interests between the two nations. According to Ablakwa, both Ghanaians and Saudis can expect a major announcement when the Saudi Foreign Minister visits Ghana later this month.

“We shall keep negotiating forcefully in the best interest of all Ghanaians,” Mr Ablakwa stated, emphasizing the government’s commitment to ensuring that ongoing talks yield tangible benefits for the Ghanaian people.

The visit of the Saudi Foreign Minister is expected to mark a significant milestone in Ghana–Saudi Arabia relations, potentially opening new avenues for cooperation in trade, investment, and development.

“Cheers to our stronger Ghana–Saudi Arabia partnership,” Ablakwa added, signaling optimism about the growing collaboration between the two countries.
