Ghana’s Minister of Finance and Acting Minister of Defence, Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, has held important discussions with Egypt’s Minister of Defence and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Meguid Saqr, in Cairo.
The meeting, which took place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, focused on strengthening the long-standing relations between the two countries and deepening cooperation in defence and security.
Dr. Forson said the talks highlighted the “deep historical ties” Ghana and Egypt share, stressing the need for stronger collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
He was joined by Ghana’s Chief of Defence Staff, Major General William Agyapong, and other senior officials during the engagement.
