A Veteran journalist, George Sydney Abugri says the literary arts industry in Ghana is not flourishing due to its exclusion from government support.

He said unlike other players in the creative arts industry, writers are usually exempted from government program aimed at supporting the industry.

He added that the high cost associated with the production and distribution of books is a challenge for the publishing industry.

Mr. Abugri was speaking at the launch of his autobiography titled, ”The Newsmonger’s Apprentice: The life and adventures of a Ghanaian Journalist”, in Accra.
