The Industrial and Commercial Workers Union (ICU), says it is concerned about companies who keep employees on casual employment for as long as 20 years or more.
The union wants the government to state its policy on casual work to guide the employers and employees.
At the union’s 11th quadrennial conference in Tema, the General Secretary, Mr. Solomon Kotey said various companies in Tema engage casual workers, some of whom have worked for more than 20 years, a situation he describes as unacceptable.
