Parliament pays glowing tribute to former first Lady Theresa Kufuor

Parliament has paid glowing tribute to the memory of former first Lady Mrs. Theresa Aba Kufuor describing her as the mother of the nation.

Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin said she sacrificed her comfort to ensure the welfare of Ghanaians especially women and children.

Member after member in his or her eulogy acknowledged late Mrs. Kufuor as the calm but strong pillar behind the success of Former President Kufuor’s tenure.

The former First Lady of passed on at age 87. A state burial is currently underway for Mrs. Kufuor in Accra.
