Three Former Presidents of the Ghana Institute of Freight Forwarders have condemned the strike by the current leadership of the freight forwarders to protest the implementation of the Cargo Tracking Note policy CTN.

A statement issued by the three Kofi Brako, Frank Sarpong, and Robert Kutin, explained that the CTN policy will create a level playing field in the current customs duty payment and valuation regime hence their support for the policy.

They believe the decision of the current leadership of the freight forwarders to resist the implementation of the CTN is self-serving and does not inure to the benefit of the Ghanaian consumer.

Full implementation of the CTN is scheduled the first of NEXT MONTH.
