The Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, Most Rev. Dr. Paul Kwabena Boafo, has advised leaders of the country to desist from implementing policies that will further deepen the hardship of Ghanaians.

He further advised Ghanaians that, though there is hardship confronting the country, people must never lose trust and hope in God.

Most Rev. Dr. Boafo gave the advice in an interview with GBC Sunrise FM during the Methodist Church Ghana 2023 Ordination Service for 67 Ministers of the Church hosted by the Oda Diocese at the St. Luke Methodist Chapel at Akim Oda in the Birim Central Municipality of the Eastern Region.

He advised Ghanaians to remember that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

The Presiding Bishop advised the youth to desist from the words of insults in the country, adding that such behaviours do not bring development to the country. He noted that Ghanaians should practice the life of truthfulness and righteousness, as these are the only things that can promote the development of the country.

Speaking on the Ordination of the Ministers of the Church, Most Rev. Dr. Boafo gave a detailed explanation of the process that a person goes through to become an ordained minister of the Methodist Church Ghana.

He advised the newly ordained ministers not to forget that their calling is from God and not man, and therefore they should do things that please God and not man. Most Rev. Dr. Boafo further advised the ministers to have it in their minds that there is a reason God called them into ministry, and that is to spread the word of God to the people and to help provide relief to people in difficulty.

These, among others, he noted, amount to the provision of salvation to the people, hence their calling into the ministry by God.
