President John Dramani Mahama has commissioned newly appointed High Commissioners and Ambassadors of Ghana, charging them to extend the government’s Reset Agenda beyond the country’s borders and position Ghana as a land of opportunity on the global stage.

At the induction ceremony at the Jubilee House on Thursday, September 4, 2025, the President said the envoys carry the hopes of the nation and must cultivate strategic partnerships, attract investment, promote tourism, and deepen diaspora engagement.

He urged them to make Ghana’s missions abroad “dynamic hubs of economic diplomacy” while upholding integrity, transparency, and service to citizens.

The President also added that Ghana’s foreign policy must reflect enduring principles of Pan-Africanism, justice, and peaceful coexistence, but also adapt to the demands of a fast-changing world.

He called for agile and innovative diplomacy that actively shapes global trends in ways that benefit the Ghanaian people.

He further cautioned the envoys to guard public resources and demonstrate ethical governance in line with the country’s domestic reforms. “Your service is not for yourself, but for country and God,” he told them.
