True Worshippers Prophetic Dance Ministries fetes kids and the Aged at Assin Nkran

True Worshippers Prophetic Dance Ministries (Faith-based NGO) feted children to a Christmas party at Assin Nkran in the Central region of Ghana on 24th December 2022. The program, organized annually by the NGO every December is in line with its mission to support the homeless, and to reach out to children and the aged in deprived communities to help transform their lives.

TWPDM is a Non-Governmental Organization founded on September 1, 2013, to adapt evidence-based intensive support models to provide homes for the homeless and at-risk youths and create opportunities to transform the current continuum of care from managing homelessness to ending homelessness. The NGO also volunteers in schools, orphanages, hospitals, prisons, villages, and religious organisations to share life-saving knowledge and skills.

The ultimate vision of the NGO is to drive and sustain change for homeless and at-risk youth and society. TWPDM envisions a permanent systemic change in Ghana’s social welfare system that builds the livelihoods of all homeless and at-risk youth as well as transforms the current continuum of care from managing homelessness to ending homelessness.

This year’s edition of the Village Life Outreach and Community Kids Party, themed “As you did for them, you did it for the Lord,” was used to distribute food items, drinks, clothing, and assorted items to the elderly, widows, physically challenged, pregnant women, single mothers among others. Residents of Assin Nkran also benefited from Free Health and Eye Screening.

The Founder of the Ministry, Mr. Vincent Anowie, in an interview explained that the “Village Life Outreach and Community Kids Party” aims to reach out to the less privileged and help children and the aged in deprived communities to enjoy Christmas. He submitted that every Christmas, the NGO  moves from one deprived community to the other to help the less privileged and to celebrate Christmas with them, whiles also providing free medical screening to deprived communities with little to no access to healthcare.

He further observed that the target this year was to  reach out to 300 people, but by the grace of God and the generous support of donors, the NGO has been able to support 500 people in the host community.” The founder expressed his appreciation to the project partners, local and international donors of the NGO whiles calling for more support, especially for the “TENT PROJECT”, a flagship project of the NGO at Mafe Dedukope in the Volta Region aimed at providing accommodation for 500 homeless children and to provide them skills training by 2025.

In his words – “The way forward for the NGO is to develop the 110acre site of the TENT PROJECT — building a community within the community, bringing and gathering all the less privileged into that community, grooming them in the things of God whiles providing free skills training in various trades to build their livelihoods – that is  the big vision of TWPDM.”

In his closing remarks, the founder underscored the need to serve humanity, saying, “Our slogan is – we are made to worship and to serve humanity by reaching out to the homeless, at-risk youth and vulnerable in society.”
