Vice President Meets Ghana Prisons Service Leadership

Vice President, Prof. Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has met with the leadership of the Ghana Prisons Service, led by the Director-General, Mrs. Patience Baffoe-Bonnie, to discuss the challenges confronting the Service and explore practical solutions.

She underscored the importance of strong public education and urged closer collaboration with state institutions and the media. The Vice President commended the Service for its innovative interventions, particularly its promising agricultural initiatives.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang assured the leadership of government’s commitment to improving conditions within the Prisons Service, stressing:
“As a responsible nation, it is our duty to ensure dignified conditions for inmates, to offer meaningful reforms, and to provide the necessary support for their reintegration into society.”
