The first daughter of the late former President of Ghana, H. E. J.J. Rawlings, has revealed that her most traumatic experience in life was seeing her late Father cry on live TV.

Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings who doubles as a Member of Parliament (MP), for the people of Klottey Korle Constituency in the Greater Accra region made this revelation on the Scoop, a segment on the GTV’s Breakfast Show on Friday, 11, November 2022.

According to her, the Former President shed tears on live TV after witnessing women and children suffering in “war-ton” Somalia.

“It was on CNN and I saw him breakdown, I was shocked and heartbreaking at the same time. I think this was when he visited Somalia and witnessed how women and children suffering made him cry.” She said.

“I have seen him shed tears on one or two occasions but seeing him shed tears on live TV was most traumatic.

He broke down on live TV because he couldn’t contain the anguish from seeing these women and children suffering due to conflict.” Dr. Zanetor reiterated.
