16 COVID-19 cases recorded at Kotoka International Airport so far

16 travellers have tested positive for COVID-19 out of 6,976 tests conducted on travellers on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport.

According to Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, four out of the 16 have been hospitalised whiles the rest are currently receiving treatment at home.

Addressing a News Conference in Accra on Wednesday, September 16, Mr. Oppong-Nkrumah said Ghana’s active cases have reduced to 564.

“At the Kotoka International Airport that has now reopened to international traffic, 6,976 tests have been done out of which 16 persons had tested positive. Four of them have been hospitalised but do not have severe symptoms. The rest are managed from home.”

He, therefore, urged the public to continue to adhere to the safety protocols.
