160 students so far evacuated from Ukraine

The Number of Ghanaian Students evacuated from Ukraine has risen to 160. This follows the arrival of nine more returnees after they successfully crossed the border to safety in Hungary.

Director of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Senalor Yawlui told Journalists at the Kotoka International Airport that 21 more Ghanaian Students who have crossed the border to safety in Hungary and Poland are expected home, to bring the total number of Ghanaian students evacuated from Ukraine to 181.

One of the returnees, Sheriff Nii Adjetey Tetteh recounted the challenges he and his colleagues faced in their attempt to cross the Ukrainian border which took almost three days.
