The Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana CLOGSAG has called off its strike following some agreements reached with the government a few hours into its industrial action on January 20, 2022.

A statement signed by the Executive Secretary of the Association Isaac Bampoe Addo said,

“The National Executive Council (NEC) of Civil and Local Government. Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG) at its meeting held on Thursday, 20th January, 2022 had reviewed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Government and CLOGSAG.
The National Executive Council (NEC) of CLOGSAG has, therefore, decided to call off the Strike.”

The statement adds that “All members should organize themselves and resume work on Monday 24th January, 2022.”

This means the frustration of clients and customers of some Ministries and its agencies following the strike on Thursday will continue for at least another day (Friday January 21, 2022).
