MOSES Foundation Ghana birthed: 5-Member Board inaugurated Chaired by NDPC DG, Dr. Mensah-Abrampa

The Mobilizing Old Students for Educational Support (MOSES), Foundation Ghana, established to provide leadership in Building a National Cohesion based on Old Students’ Solidarity has been birthed in Accra on April 20, 2022 with the inauguration of a 5-Member Board of Directors, Chaired by Dr. Kodjo Esseim Mensah-Abrampa, Director General, Ghana Development, Planning Commission, NDPC.

Other members of the Board are; Nyaaba-Aweeba Azongo, President, MOSES Foundation, Ghana, Ishmael Agyekumhene, Energy Expert and Executive Director of the Kumasi Institute of Technology and Environment (KITE), Ing. Dr. Ken Ashibgey, CEO Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications, and Former Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Professor Badu Akosa, now Vice Chairman, Executive Board, African Population Health Research Center, Nairobi Kenya.

The Board Members were sworn in by Head Pastor, Global Revival Ministries, Lapaz Branch, Rev. Charles Ofori Aduam.

Moses Foundation Ghana is tasked with the responsibility of pulling the Old Students Solidarity and advocacy in mobilizing Old Students support for sustainable Educational Development in Ghana. Above all it is also committed to supporting the development of their Alma Mater, building national cohesion and inspiring excellence in global leadership.

Mr. Nyaaba-Aweeba Azongo who is the visionary for the MOSES Foundation, Ghana says it has three main programs to champion its ideals; the Regional and National Competitive Best Old Students-School (BOSS) Awards, The BOSS Awards, the MOSES Generational Leadership-Legend (MGL-LEGEND) Awards to recognize legends in leadership as Ambassadors of their respective Alma Mater, and the Old Students Fund.

According to him, ‘’the overall objective is to recognize and reward not only Old Students’ contribution to schools, but the Schools and Old Students Associations that demonstrate sterling leadership in attracting and mobilizing their respective schools, general educational development and societal leadership’’.

A Member of the MOSES Foundation Board, Mr. Ishmael Agyekumhene sent out a clarion call for maximum support for the vision of the Foundation given the fact that it is what he called ‘’the game changer’’. Mr Agyekumhene recounted a scenario where within a short period through social media, he and his colleagues were able to mobilize cash to sink a borehole for his Alma Mater’’, and says that was his motivation to support the MOSES Foundation, which is considered a catalyst for mobilizing old students globally to propel the transformation needed in Ghana.
