Delegates attending the fifth West African Organic Conference in Accra, have reiterated the need for organic farming for food production to save lives and increase productivity.
It is for this reason that the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in 2006 set up a desk to encourage organic farming.
Opening the conference, the Director of Crop Services, Seth Osei Akoto said the Ministry is spearheading sustainable agriculture that guarantees food and nutrition security in line with the sustainable development goals.
